2010 Emmys Red Carpet

The 62nd Annual Emmy Awards were held at the beautiful Nokia Theater in California.  The greatly anticipated Red Carpet began at 5pm (Eastern Time) and ended at 8pm, right before the Emmys aired.  That three hour slot gave the viewers just enough time to see the small-screen stars strut their stuff in some elegant (some not-so-elegant) gowns and tuxedos.  The biggest trend that I saw? Navy, navy, navy.  Who rocked it the best?  Lea Michele by far.  The sweetheart neckline on her Oscar de la Renta gown was extremely flattering and showed off her tight little figure very well.

Style.com - Item of the Week

I know I'm a little late on this but on July 19th, Style.com's "Item of the Week" was a fun and nature-inspired cuff.  The cuff, by Ria and Yiouri Augousti, is perfect to wear in the summer with those crisp white pants and gold sandals.  The contrasting shapes and colors on the cuff are so eye-catching that we can definitely call this piece a statement accessory.  The green stones and black stripes can easily be worn in the fall and winter too -- paired with the right outfit, of course.  These trending colors are taking over the runways for Fall so you'll definitely be seeing more of them!

2010 Fashion's Night Out (KOP Mall)

The 2010 Fashion's Night Out is approaching faster than I thought.  As much as I wish I could go to New York City for it (thank you overprotective parents), I will be spending September 10, 2010 at the King of Prussia Mall taking advantage of the free gifts, exclusive sales, and tons of cool fashion.  This year I plan on getting there a bit earlier than my arrival time last year (about 8 pm. How lame).  I'm pleasantly anticipating the night and plan to hit up Neiman Marcus (for the FNO shirt), Bloomies, Nordstrom's (for the catwalk), Lilly Pulitzer, Madewell, Betsey Johnson, Lord and Taylor, and Coach.  I just cannot wait to be surrounded with hundreds of fashion lovers as well as makeup gurus and stylists.  I plan on indulging in every part of FNO (from the free food to the free gifts) in order to try and make the most of this special night.  Can't wait to post pics!!

2010 Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet

Okay. Could the Teen Choice Awards make the red carpet segment any harder to see?!!? On Monday afternoon I googled the time of the red carpet and I found out it was airing at 6:30pm. Okay, I thought, it should be on Fox since that’s what channel the actual award show is on. At exactly 6:30 I plopped down on my parents bed (still Skyping with my cousin), flipped on the TV, and turned straight to Fox. To my surprise I saw that TMZ was on and became a mess. How was I supposed to document the celebrities’ outfits and blog about them?!? I anxiously searched through the channels to find no red carpet coverage. Furious, I googled Teen Choice Award Red Carpet, again, and saw that there was a live stream online! Um, excuse me?!?! Could you not freaking afford to have it air on TELEVISION!? Ugh, while I was relieved I was finally able to watch the Red Carpet, it kept freezing and pausing and going black, only a minor setback, however.
